Arctic Cat Dimond Drive oil doesnt seem to be that thick. But I agree with you I dont want to use that little three ounce bottle for 15 dollars or what ever the outragous price is!! I only pay about $5 for a bottle at my dealer. I figure for $5 per year, I'll just use what AC reccomends.

DB26. 6oz flush and 3oz DD fluid is all you need for non-reverse models. You can do the flush/change with the DD on the machine, but do recommend pulling the DD off the sled to do the flush and refill.. its easier to get all the old fluid out that way. Taking the diamond drive off only takes 15 minutes once you've gone through the process.

The OEM Diamond Drive oil definitely is a gear oil ! The smell is unmistakable. As to the weight Im sure its lighter than 75w also I would imagine its a multi viscosity gear oil. It needs to operate over a fairly wide range of temperature.
